HelpTo move your electricity supply we may need to access the underground electricity cable. The only way to access it is to dig a hole or trench on your land. We can do all of the digging for you or you can arrange it yourself.
If we do the digging for you, we’ll minimise any disruption to you. We’ll dispose of any unwanted material, fill the hole after the work is complete and make sure we restore the original surface to what it was before we carried out any digging.

On the day of the work we need to park vans near to where the work will be carried out. We will visit your property before we carry out any work and we’ll plan all of this with you. But so you’re aware, if there is not enough room to park on your driveway or land, we may need to apply to the council for parking bays to be suspended. This is to guarantee that parking spaces would be available on the day. If there are no parking bays to suspend, we may need to apply to the local council for a temporary traffic regulation order.
You may have to alter your own internal electrics inside your home. This work needs to be completed by a qualified electrician.

Once we have moved your electricity supply, your electricity supplier then needs to move your electricity meter. The reason they need to do this is because they own the electricity meter and therefore are the only company who can move this. They may charge you to so please check with them so you are aware of any costs. We’ll explain all of this before we carry out any work and plan it with you. But so you are aware, you will need to book your electricity supplier to attend on the same day as we move your electricity supply. Without an electricity meter, there will be no power to your property so it’s important we work together to make sure this happens on the same day for you.
